Amy wrote “Heaven” after losing two family members to addiction last year. Feels especially timely for it to come out during National Recovery Month and in the spirit of giving back, Amy has been encouraging her fans to donate to three great organizations, To Write Love on Her Arms, MusiCares and Friends of Earth. The story is an unfortunate and a familiar tale to many, especially in a time when loss is so prevalent. She collaborated with hitmakers Monsters & Strangerz (Dua Lipa, Maroon 5, Camila Cabello), Jon Bellion (Halsey, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus) and Ethan Gruska (Phoebe Bridgers, Fiona Apple).
Amy started playing music when she was 8 years old, has mastered 5 instruments, went to Berklee College of Music, started a band, moved from NYC to LA to become a full-time songwriter after meeting Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes, Dermot Kennedy, Taylor Swift) and has co-written some of pop music’s biggest hits. Her own songs are lived-in tales, reminiscent of the American troubadours that have come before her - heroes like Tom Petty or Sheryl Crow, Carole King or John Prine and Bruce Springsteen. A songwriter for her generation, Amy offers a birds-eye view of life as a 21st Century, young American woman.
