How do you feel like you’ve improved with your work over the past year?
I feel like I have improved a lot from the first show I ever shot where I had no clue what I was doing or which settings to use. I have improved on getting things in frame and not cutting off certain parts such as heads, legs, or arms. I have gotten better at focusing images, so they don’t end up being blurry in post-production and also culling images.
How would you describe your style?
I am still working on finding my style. I really enjoy editing blues and reds in my photos because I think they look the nicest in the photos I take. I also use a prism and fractals when shooting because they add something fun and unique to the photos, especially when the light hits the prism or fractals at the right moment.
What are some important things you’ve learned since starting photography?
The biggest thing I have learned since starting is definitely culling images and be more selective with which photos I post and edit. I have also learned how to shoot in low light settings which is something I had no clue about before I even started; I only knew about shooting in daylight. I learned how to edit using Lightroom as well and how it all works instead of just slapping on a preset and not making any adjustments to it. All these things have really helped me with where I am today when it comes to photography.
What are your biggest goals as a photographer?
I would like to go on my first tour sometime in the next year or two because I want to just be creative with either live music shots, behind the scenes, or just for fun. I would also love to do some cover shoots for some well-known publications such as Alternative Press and Rocksound because I would love to share my creativity with the world.
