Concert Review: He Is Legend at Brooklyn Bazaar

By Sean Gardner

North Carolina Metalers, He Is Legend are currently on tour with Crobot, and the supergroup The Damned Things. On May 7th, At Brooklyn Bazaar, they opened up the show, setting the tone for the night and drawing an incredibly high energy crowd. Their gut busting double bass drum beats, punchy guitar riffs, and growly vocals made for an infectiously headbang-able set. The band played a short set of five songs, including their latest singles “Boogiewoman” and “White Bat.” After closing out the set, the crowd of metalheads was left wanting more, chanting “one more song! One more song!” as the band left the stage to go meet fans at their merch table. The fact that they received an ovation for an encore, as the first band of three is really indicative of the intensity and spirit that they bring with them on stage. As an opening band, they most certainly brought that very same intensity that they would have if it was their headlining show. Their new album White Bat will be available everywhere on the 28th of June of this year, and the singles for the album “Boogiewoman” and “White Bat” are available now.
