Leo Xia releases "Angels"

On December 11th, 2020, Leo Xia released his new single and music video “Angels” as an acknowledgement to all the people in his life that have loved him unconditionally, even through his darkest moments.

Xia wrote this song when a friend’s family member passed away unexpectedly. Xia describes seeing his friend in pain, unable to grieve: "That was the same pain I felt when my own grandmother passed away," Xia remembered. "I didn't know how to let myself feel the grief of losing someone who had loved me like she did."

The song was written as a healing anthem for both Xia's listeners and himself.

Directed by USC alumna Tiffany Stevens, the music video takes place on a set of railroad tracks alluding to the sacrifices of Xia’s ancestors.

“Angels” can be heard on all streaming platforms, including Amazon, Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal.
